Bartolotta's new restaurant/Gastropub, The Rumpus Room, opened recently. We had a chance to check it out on the first weekend they were open. I was excited to try a "cheaper" Bartolotta restaurant. However, didn't end up to be so cheap. You can check out the menu here. They do have some sandwiches and one burger, but even the burger is $12. With drinks, apps, dessert, you can spend a lot here.
However, we all loved the atmosphere. Dimly lit, but bustling with people and energy. Our wait staff was super friendly and checked on us often. Although it was busy, we never felt neglected. Food was delicious. We had the flatbread and beer steamed mussels for appetizers - loved them both! Our dinners were: Bangers N Kraut, Rumpus Burger, Veal meatloaf, and pork shoulder. Favorites were the pork shoulder and meatloaf. They also have a fairly large beer/alcohol menu, if that's up your alley.
Overall, we liked it here, but I'd recommend using Open Table to reserve a table ahead of time, as they were very busy.
